2016 National Infant and Primary School Website Competition

Winner of the 2016 Infant and Primary School Website Competition (for District 3), went to the Ave Maria Girls’ Primary School. The prize giving ceremony, was held on Thursday, 6th July 2016 at the National Cultural Center’s conference room. 

Amongst District 3, there were a total of 8 Infant & Primary Schools which participated. Second place (in District 3) went to the R.C. Boys Primary School. 

The website for the Ave Maria Girls’ Primary School was created by Ms. Shafayrose Dé Beauville, the Information Technology Assistant for the Ave Maria Girls’ Primary School. 

The National Infant and Primary School Website Competition, was commissioned through the Information Technology Unit of the Ministry of Education. This initiative served to meet several objectives including enhancing students theoretical and practical skills in web development, increase visibility for schools with web presence and infuse Information Technology into School Curriculum at an earlier stage. 

This opportunity also allowed schools to better engage their alumni and remain current in the advancement of school affairs.
